Today we will make an amazing delicious desert, Turkish Lokum ( Turkish Delight)
- 4 cups of sugar
- 1 cup of Corn flour
- 1 cup of corn starch
- 1 tsp. of tartar cream
- A few drop Lemon juice
- 3 cups of Water
How to Prepare Turkish Delight
Take 4 cups of sugar in a pan.
Add 1 and 1/2 cups of water / my cup measures 200 ml.
Add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
Now put this pan on the heat and stir it well.
Bring it to a boil.
Bring the sugar syrup to soft ball consistency.
To check the consistency, for this, drop some sugar syrup in cold water if it comes together.
Switch off the flame.
Now take 1 cup of cornflour in a pan.
Add 1 tsp. of cream of tartar.
3 cups of water.
Mix it without lumps.
Now put this pan on the heat and stir continuously.
Stir continuously until it becomes a thick paste.
Now slowly gradually pour sugar syrup little by little stirring constantly.
Stir it well on low flame.
Now cook it on very low flame.
Cook it on low flame for 40 to 45 minutes.
By stirring frequently.
Here is a picture after 15 minutes.

The last after 45 minutes.
Cook until mixture turns into golden color.
Now switch off the flame.
Add 1 tsp. of vanilla essence or rose water.
Add a few drops of pink food color.
And mix it well.
Take any mold, apply oil or ghee weel line with parchment paper.
Carefully pour the prepared mixture.
Let it sit overnight.
Take 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and add 1/4 cup of cornflour.
Mix it well.
Now sprinkle some flour mixture on a clean surface.
Now you can take the delight from mold and place it on the surface.
Cut into pieces with help of a pizza cutter or a knife.
Coat each piece with powdered sugar mixture.
Toss them well in powdered sugar mixture.
Now, you can serve them. 🙂
